I was watching a true story on ID television a few daysw ago; a reenactment of the murder of a young woman was being shown. As the story unfolded, numerous people that actually knew the victim were sharing their thoughts. Among those interviewed was the mother of the woman who was brutally slain.
As she was making her statements with a dumbfounded stress; she stated [paraphrased], "I can't understand a person being killed by car accident, or a disease; that's 'God's will' but to be killed by a former boyfriend (the former boyfriend using a friends car, crushed her with the car between a tree and the car. Then proceeded to run over her several times with the car) in such a way I just can't understand that."
You know what I can't understand? I cannot understand what makes seemingly Christian ( or at the least, people you would think knew a little about God) people make such inaccurate statements about the Lord. It literally p@%$^%^es me off!! To say on national (international TV) that it's God's will for people to die in car accident or from disease is totally way out of line. If people would just pick up a a King James Bible, they could clearly see in the new covenant ( New Testament) that Jesus never stated nor did He demonstrate that it was His will that any should die or be sick.
It clearly says in:
2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
and again here at :
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
It's pretty bad when people, people that claim to know God stand and accuse the Lord of some of the most aweful things in the world. It seems like they want to believe that nothing ever happens without His permission and that He is in complete control, allowing evil to flourish against those He died to saved. Man! What is wrong with people? If they really knew God, they would not believe such things.
